Amanda Bossard was just out her high school days when she started her marine biology studies at Alaska Pacific University in Anchorage. Bossard's career began in 1999, when she took a job on the F/V Sunset. The 65-foot vessel, which was a halibut fishing vessel, was transformed into a salmon tender by Murat Ariatn. The couple has been fishing commercially for more than 20 years. Bossard and Aritan are married now and are working together to claim their place in their industry. They both believe in conserving and profiting from sustainable resources within the industry of seafood. Otolith is a wholesale direct seafood retailer, was founded in 2007 by Bella Bossard (age 3), Andre Bossard (1 year old) as well as Bossard's mom.
